Asli Design

Asli Topcu is a ready-to-wear and custom Apparel Designer living in San Francisco, who was born and raised in Istanbul. After studying tourism, she worked in a tourist yacht. During this time she had many opportunities to interact with people from different cultures when she traveled to Dubai and many European cities on the coast and Mediterranean. Her initial inspirations for her designs come from different cultures, history, rich texture and colors of nature.

 

In 2006 she moved to Seattle to improve her English and learn about the American Culture.

 

Asli has had a passion for designing since childhood. After studying business in the years between 2008 and 2011, she listened to her inner voice and attended the School of Apparel Design & Development at Seattle Central to learn about fashion and garment construction.During one of her internships she learned how to work with leather and successfully applied these techniques to many of her designs. She graduated from the Apparel Design & Development program in June of 2014.

 

Besides garments, Asli likes to design and construct bags and enjoys designing prints for textiles. In her designs she likes to use rich colors and create elegant but also casual, easy to wear practical garments. In addition to the feminine look Asli adds masculine vibes to her pieces.
